My old bus only had a 3 rib and would cruise all day at 70, just had bigger tyres on to help

Excellent, thank you. Piece of steel then. I may try something similar as I've just picked up the bush and as suspected it wants a 24mm hole, not the 26mm I have. Need to take the handbrake lever off for access, a tad tricky in our sloping car park.

The bush is a bit like a grommet and as I now have one, I've cut a 1mm thick 2mm wide strip from the top of an olive oil bottle to fit inside the groove and pack it out. A new plate is a bit of a nightmare job in a car park, having looked.

This is where it goes. That's in 4th. Another view, in 2nd. I just went to Liverpool and back like that. A lot of people drive around without this bit and their vans don't jump out of 4th. I haven't the heart to test drive because I know it'll still be doing it.
