I know I have asked this before, on another forum!!
BUT what is the best engine/car to buy for an engine.
There is a Subaru Forrester for sale where I live and it is a 1998 2.0 na with about 110k on the clock.
Is it the right one to get? I have read a bit about series 1 series 2 etc. @chrisgooner ?

Yes it is the right one, provided it's cheap.

I've heard that the converters avoid the boy racer ones and go for those you mentioned above 👍🏻

Yes it is the right one, provided it's cheap. £575 with 107k on the clock, always passed mot's with minor faults like bulbs and spring needing doing. All things that don't affect the bit I would want.

Yeah it's the right one Matt. The prices of them are going up a bit now as people have realised they can be used as donors for us vw gimps. Providing it's all running fine it's worth the dough, especially if you've got the time and space to break the rest of the car. 👍

If I hadn't of wanted a T5 scooby was one of the options for the bay but I reckon a beetle or even a little beach buggy with a scooby engine would be very interesting 😎
