Before and after, less carpet more storage. Very nice. Sometimes just buying something that just works is the right way to go

It does seem a bit frivolous at £119 for a tiny bit of storage but it just looks neater than an expanse of carpet and it will be good to store little nic naks in and the dog leads etc

A little tykes ride in toy car with several colours of plastic, and much more of it, including castors and door catches etc inside a big colourful cardboard box costs £38 pounds. The plastic used for vehicles must have golden thread woven through it or something.

I guess the r&d to kiravans has cost a few quid as this is not a vw part plus a hefty chunk of scene tax?

Can you clean them easily ish ? Gotta be easier than carpet liner which goes all bobbly like a well worn jumper... it's made of typical dashboard plastic so I'd imagine so.

So start made on mk2 interior. Made a new bed board (the original butted up to the now removed units) the plan is to make 2 or 3 "pod" type units using the now extended bed board as the main fixed point, the rear part will be low level to give more bed space at the shoulder end so I plan to make a box with a lifting lid to store the bedding in from the board to the rear doors, I might put a small wall mounted cupboard above it for nic naks etc. The plan for the front is a staggered unit in 2 parts, one the width of the gap once the bed is down and then where the bed stops I'm planning to step it out a bit to save wasted space behind the drivers seat. Here's the new bed board and then a mockup bit of wood to give an idea of my bedding storage area. I've got to trim it slightly though as I forgot to allow for the seat belt bracket to slide past the upright bit of the bed board.
