I wasn’t certain about posting about this on here as it’s not a VW but when Ricky and Razzy, who sound like a seaside pier double act to me, post about their building projects I changed my mind.
After all it does have 4 wheels, a 4 cylinder engine and an alarming tendency for the bodywork to decompose so it’s like my T2 in some ways. It's about the same level of technology as well - i.e. none.
So what is it? It’s a 1974 MGB roadster, one of the last of the chrome bumper ones before they ruined them with heavy rubber bumpers, increased ride height and even more strangled engines.
I’ve had it for nearly 41 years now, originally my Dad and I went halves as I couldn’t afford it on my own and insurance was expensive.

This is my first attempt at rewiring it - it had so many electrical accessories that were now surplus I decided to remove them. But I didn't think about it first and this is the result. Once it got to this stage I shut the carport doors and left it for a couple of years, probably a bit too long as I'd totally forgotten what was what (I hadn't made any notes either) but a broken wrist and real life getting in the way caused most of the delay, recently topped off by 2 Robin chicks nesting 2 feet away from it so I had to wait until they fledged, which was 2 weeks ago. I also found out that although I could remove some parts like the air vents my fat fingers couldn't put them back. This should be fixed this summer as my eldest works in a school and is much more dextrous than me and can also crawl under the dash so it's a nice holiday job. He doesn't know it yet but I'm sure that he'll help his old Dad out, who also has a dodgy knee so there are other jobs lined up for him. I'm currently working on the bodywork - I'd forgotten how a virtually invisible flaw explodes when primered and even more so after topcoat.

I don't know how to.
I think that Ricky was saying that that functionality used to be available in Dropbox but was withdrawn.
Any advice on how to do it would be greatly appreciated, even if I have to move from Dropbox.

Thanks Guys
I lost the ability to post links in Photobucket so it's useless for me now.
I'll have a play with Cube when I've got time

No - I'm a bit of a luddite and rarely use my archaic mobile, which doesn't have internet access and the plan can't be changed to allow it. I'll try it by going via our wireless network. Postimage test

Been cleaning the paintwork a bit, after washing it, to get rid of up to 11 years worth of crap on it, some of it literally as our Robin family were not house(or carport) trained - thanks guys.
As it isn't intellectually stretching I got to wonder why T-cut is £7 for 500ml but £21.90 delivered for 10x that. Admittedly not many people will use 5 litres but I reckon I will between the MG and our old Citroen van. Also, who the F*** in Halfords decided that their Primer/Filler would be bright orange???
There's been a bit of a setback as when I lent on the O/S front wing the bottom moved, which on investigation makes sense as it's not attached to anything now as the bit it was welded to is no more.
Given that MGB sill replacement is not a trivial job I'm just hoping the rest is OK - I'm going to have a look when I can find some space. The cascade of rust and corroded metal that landed on the floor when the wing moved is not a good omen....
