Looking good rick, I have loads to do at my gaff, I'm struggling to muster any enthusiasm to do any of it.

Looking good rick, I have loads to do at my gaff, I'm struggling to muster any enthusiasm to do any of it. Didn't really have a choice to be fair, the damp course had been built up to virtually all round by mr bodge laying his new path on the original many years ago, the damp inside last winter was immense.

In fact in the picture you can see how high the soil was and that level is where the slabs are, the red paint (one brick to damp) was all that was visible

So anyway ironically with all the shit going on the drive people rang yesterday and want to start this morning, I did think about cancelling when the split reared its head as I'd "only" paid a £500 deposit but "if" I stay here for a few years I'd have regretted it so I decided to press on. True the cash could have gone to better use but I'm also hoping it would help sell the place if needs be. Here's the front as of now, way to high on the damp course as usual so there's some digging out to come.

So you'll need to extend the garage door a few inches at the bottom or have some sort of a ramp?
If you do sell the place the damp course issues would probably come up on a survey anyway.

No, the garage floor is a concrete slab which finishes about an inch proud of the doors, I presume they will see how low they need to go and either grade it up so the step isn't too bad, I'm guessing they may slope it towards the left as you look at the pictures as the road runs downhill that way, they could of course leave it high and fit drains as it butts up to the house. Guess we will see in a few days.
The damp issues didn't in my survey lol! And the only part that's too high now is the bit under the door/window

As suspected slabs were laid on old drive so loads of shit under. They currently have a grabbing lorry pulling out and dropping hardcore.

You'd think they would cover the pavement with some ply sheets or something?

You'll need a decent drive for all the fit young birds you're gonna be entertaining to park their cars on.

You'll need a decent drive for all the fit young birds you're gonna be entertaining to park their cars on. Fuck that. I've never been out of a relationship since I was 17, straight from one to the next with zero days off, I'm looking forward to just pleasing myself, that said I'm already talking to the dogs.
