No I hadn't forgotten the throttle cable but there is something funny going on with it. So engine back out to try and solve it, then engine back in (first time went straight in, this time the fucker just would not go,) Anyway it finally back in but I'm not totallyhsppy with the the throttle cable still do might have to come out again.
Maybe my cable is wrong, bit short

Bugger init 🤸🏽♀️ It's the same cable as always, (whether it's the correct one I don't know) the tube that comes through fan housing used to have to stick out towards carb for the cable to reach. I wanted to sort it so the tube sits as it should on the fan housing cos it looked stupid. But of course now the cable doesn't reach. Cut an inch off the tube which has made it just reach, might work, but I'm not totally happy with it

Yippee , I'm still shit at this but it's in and running!!!!!
Now I know it works, tomorrow I can finish the install, got a few bolts to nip up etc, tidy up the wiring, and get it tuned up.
What a bloody relief that it actually works! Just hope it keeps on working for some trouble free miles.....

Cool, will do. He said first oil change at 500, but yes it makes sense to do as you said. Maybe another changeat 200, then 500, you think? The more oil changes thes better? The early change will get out almost all the scrapings there will be, I'd then do just the 500 mile change, but essentially you are correct, as you have no oil filter, the more the merrier. With regard to the first oil change... I notice the sump has been fitted with a sump plate that has drain hole (old motor didn't have drain plug in the plate), is it satisfactory to just drain through the plug or is it better to take whole sump plate off to ensure any mentally bits come out? Or is that a daft question?!
