I think in theory it sounds great, living the dream in hopefully a beautiful spot. The reality would be quite different though after chatting to a few 'commandants'. They complained about the long hours... Cleaning facilities at 10pm. Also the fact that you can't go away when you want & that you need to get someone else to take care of the business if you wanted an afternoon/weekend/holiday off. The reality is that you may live in a beautiful part of the world, but the demands of the job mean that you might rarely get to enjoy/experience what the area has to offer.

I spoke to a chap in October when I was in Wales said I thought it would be a dream job, after hearing how he could easily kill himself on a daily basis putting up with some of the pita people who go camping I quickly sympathised with the poor man and decided it would be poo. Owning one maybe good 'cos you can bin off the riff raff but running one for your keep was the nightmare he said

I've always fancied owning one, in the right location they can pull in a fortune through the summer.
