Ok, been looking to sell the daily as it's costing a small racehorse to keep going (2005 Jag X Type) so started looking at T5's on Autotrader and saw how much trouble people have with turbo's and brake calipers and doesn't seem out of kilter with what i'm facing with the daily at the moment so knocked that idea on the noddle and thought why not drive the bus as a daily only thing is the screen mists for ages in winter and it's cooooler than a polar bears knackers even though the exchanges work ok as they're beetle ones. Those of you with T2's or any A/C bus's what do you use to demist and keep warm in the cooler weather.

Extra fan in line and/or revving the nuts off it to create the heat. TBH mine only mists inside when I sleep in it.

A) Lots of kitchen roll B) pyjamas under trousers, Woody hats, gloves, scarfs & tissue to deal with the drips on the nose.

Mine doesn't mist up ,I open quarter light. We put a cabin curtain in if we drive when very cold .i often wondered why vw didn't put some of the air straight in back maybe under rear seat with turbo grilles ,at least the air would have more velocity and be hotter further back. I was going to look into it but don't use it a lot when cold . Have thought about heated seats ?

You can buy heated windscreens for T2s which would help with the misting up.
If you've got vents under the rear seat check they're closed - I thought mine were but checked them after a drive to find them pretty hot. I'd opened them rather than closed them...

Had them open for the old Doggie, will close them and I need a new screen anyway.

I've got a heated screen in mine and I must say it was the best mod I bought for my bus. I used my bus everyday for around 3 to 4 years which obviously included some really shitty winters. My hot air system, when I was aircooled was really rubbish with just a whiff of warm air coming up to the screen which instantly misted up. I paid just over £200 sheets back then I think from coolair. I bought the one with 2 elements in which I think is the dearer one.
