Yeah I'd thought of that but in my opinion it always looks shit and doesn't last long! Needs to be a high quality finish.... Found a company that does "flat pack" understair system but the website is guff which doesn't fill me with confidence, and can't find any customer reviews...

Yes all the inside of shops is done this way, when (if) you go in a tkmaxx (for example) all the coloured walls etc is mdf with laminate glued on that way. My van interior is made of the stuff (the doors are cut down kitchen doors though) but all the red is sheets.

Is it easy enough to get a really good finish on the edges/corners?
I've no workshop btw....

Mine isn't great I'm not going to lie, the lads on the tools are great at it but they do loads, you need to cut it perfectly for seamless joins and you can get coloured filler to finish edges, I just did my best.

I used spay on glue cut the laminate slightly oversize and do the faces first. Once it's dry use a edge trimmer router and then glue the edges on, also cut slightly oversize and use the edge router to cut the overhang flush. A very fine sandpaper over a wooden block and just lightly sand the edges at 45° to remove the sharp edges.

Make the doors and have them sprayed. In fact make everything and have it all sprayed.
