Battery flat after a week of not using it. Disconnected battery, resistance between battery leads 90ohms (pretty much a short).
Removed fuses to find it's fuse 10, windscreen wipers. Funny that because while switched on they stop with the ignition key but sometimes start up on their own as I walk away. I found that quite an amusing quirk so not done anything about it.
Any ideas what's going on/where to look first? Wiper switch?

Think I would first disconnect the wires from the motor to determine if it's the switch or the motor... From the way it randomly wipes with the ignition off, I wonder if it's the "park" terminal on the motor playing up..

I've also discovered the oil gauges pick up their 12v from the the same fuse so more to look at.
This fuse I believe should be ignition on only so as the wipers stop when I turn off the ignition that seems right. I'm thinking that with the permanent live fuse next to it maybe the live feed wire's come off...or something. I've temporarily cured it by taking the fuse out when I park up.

Ah, for some reason I was thinking that the park feature was permanent live so they park if you take the key out while they are still wiping, but they dont do they...ignore me...

Park on the motor playing up perhaps They start up only if switched on at the stalk. What's odd is if I switch the ignition off with wipers running they stop immediately, mid wipe. I lock up and get 20ft from van and they start up again and keep going.

Also. If they come on again as you walk away. Could they be wired up backwards on a courtesy light type thing or summer?

Probably worth looking at the ignition switch first 🤔

Have you got a wiper delay fitted?

Have you got a wiper delay fitted? No, just the standard wiring.
