I know that with a title like that you're all champing at the bit but I've just seen this on the pipe and carpet slippers site that I frequent, after all I am over 60, and thought it may be of interest to some of you: www.wagenswest.com/how_to/bus_vanagon_ball_comparison.phpI suspect that, as usual, there will be conflicting opinions, especially as the article is over 4 years old.

I've had trouble with ultra stiff Meyle HD balls on the early. I purposely fitted old ones c/w the arms on my late. Meyle HD worn after 300 miles? Must be joking, after 1000 mine weren't even worn in and so stiff I still couldn't steer in a straight line. Again, ditched and replaced with cheapest I could find so I could actually go straight.

My meyle, which I don't think were HD, took well over 500 miles to 'wear in' - I absolutely s*** myself when I first drove it after they were fitted as it had a mind of it's own.
