How does anybody else combat the damp over the winter? Even though I garage my van the atmosphere is still damp. I place boxes of silica gel inside and have to replace every fortnight!

Use it because it's modern and reliable

Use it because it's well maintained and reliable. Which reminds me it's coming up to MOT time.

I use those pads that you can dry out on the radiators.

I do use it I just don't like the idea of damp sitting in/on the leather or silently rusting the floor away out of view!

I accept that it will go rusty. So far the inside of the windows haven't been steamed up so I think it'll live for a while.

Unusually I've tucked mine away in the garage for a few weeks with the cab windows and sliding door and tailgate open and I open the front and back garage doors on dry breezy days so the van gets a good airing out all the time.

That's a good idea! I hadn't thought of leaving the doors open, will try that

I haven't tried those. How do you find them? In boots. But most chemists and supermarkets have them.

Up until recently I've always used mine as a daily, driving most days with the windows open, no damp or condensation.
More annoying is the fairly newish 59plate beemer I now use as my daily. It seems to get a lot of condensation on the inside of the windscreen overnight. The last 2 days I've woken up to ice on the inside.

My t5 is a twat for condensation on the inside off the aircon does my nut in
