Shouldnt need to be removed when fitting. They fit around it. I don't think Vans as standard don't have the plastic bit. Mine and robos both have the plastic bit as standard and the Westfalia towbar fits around it.

Been a while since updating but to be honest we just camped last year, have loads of idea’s and one big solution in our van is storage as basically it has none! What we do have is a massive area under the bed which is only accessible via the boot and not easy to access when the bed is made up. I’ve been holding out on this as the drawer slides are expensive but I’ve now got a pair and have measured up and doodled a design which comprises of a frame which will fix to the floor tracks and have two drawers side by side and being 860mm deep will allow full and easy access! This is my doodle This is a pic of a similar system but a single drawer in an ocean I’m currently having the frame built in welded aluminium by a metalwork fabricator through work, cant wait to get it in and have a play, I’m going to build a kitchen pod to fit on one of the drawers similar to what we had in Molly.

Nice, I would suggest each drawer is the height of a tin of beans!!

So in my quest for more storage and after buying some cheap seat covers which didn’t fit & some rear seat pockets I got my mums sewing machine out and modified the seat covers and incorporated the rear seat pockets... I’m not going to be taking sewing up as a full time job or even part time but once I got the hang of it I went bonkers knocking up a couple of simple envelope type covers one I added some padding for the tv, one to store a vent grille & then a couple more to store my curtains in & my awning bits 😂 I reckon my mum would be having a good laugh at my wobbly sewing but be quite pleased I was having a go, Charlie also helped and was pressing the foot pedal for me which was quite nerve racking at times!

I have a pull out bit. The runners came with the van, PO had a pullout bike shelf. Gonna get another pair for a second one (sometime).

You utter barstool, you took the badge off. I didn't notice that, I was busy wondering why he'd fitted early bay indicators in the middle. I think Robo is missing tinkering and looking for things to do, it's common among the plumbers van owners.

I do like a project or two to keep me out of trouble, I prefer the type of projects that still allow you to go on holiday if you cock it up or don’t get it done in time. Some people like the added stress involved but not me I’m afraid. I would have another air cooled to tinker with but it would have to be either a beach buggy or a bug, just for the fun of it...
