Coz it looks like it's just been cancelled, Vanfest. Used to be the go to show back in the day until they started ripping everybody off, I last went was in 2005, I think they've tried to reinvent it a few times. www.vanfest.org/vanfest/

Well you can try, but it's a bit desperate when there's a whole world of things you haven't done before.

If I recall right the organisers of the original van fest fell out , think it was type 2 or something like that owned the name so the name changed happened .

Never been to a vw festival ... should I? There are still a few decent ones left. Do you like camping, seeing live bands, looking around loads of other VW's and drinking. If so give it a go. I've done my fair share but just arnt bothered any more, may do Skeg Vegas thou.

I suppose that isn't quite true have been to beach buggin ... but its only a day event and being local some mates/family have usually popped by and had a cup of tea brewed in the bus. Getting old means I can't be doing with the noise and hassle ...

As woody says it's a nice site and hasn't got too big and gone all corporate like, there's just enough of tat and entertainment if you want but also room to avoid it if you don't.
