Hi, might be a very stupid question but I've just tried to jack up my T2 at the rear to change a wheel and obviously put the jack in the wrong place as it will not go high enough to get the wheel out. I watched the JK video and they say use the centre of rear torsion bar. Is this correct?

Personally, I put a trolley Jack under the spring plate casting on the end of the torsion tube.

Is it a trolley Jack? I used to get by with a little 2 ton halfords one (and precariously placed bits of wood)

Could it be because it's lowered at the rear 2 splines? or wouldn't that make any difference?

Ah, if it's lowered 2 splines, you will have a job to get the rear wheels off, as you need to wedge a big bar above the spring plate, and lever it down to clear the wheel arch.. let your mechanic struggle, and hope you never have to change it on the side of the M6..😱

It was the one tubed tyre I have on the bus, originally put on because they couldn't get the tyre to seal and what had happened was the batch sticker inside the tyre had rubbed and rubbed over a few years and finally made a hole. 2 things, I might get another wheel and I might get a new standard beam and go up in the world
