Engine out/manifold swap/engine in - 1/2 day.
Too vague on the arch bit to guess. Be more specific. Also any previous repairs around arch will need revisiting.
And of course whether it's done to look original along the arch tub join with the flap for tucking the rubber mat under retained, or a hack off and seam weld job loosing that.
Paint?
£700 sounds too cheap for a pukka job.

I'm supplying the arch and step, the complete type from Heratige. Dunno if there's been repairs before.

I'm supplying the arch and step, the complete type from Heratige. Dunno if there's been repairs before. there almost certainly will have been on the bulkhead and they will prevent the new arch from fitting unless they are redone. I fitted dozens and only once didn't have to do this as that one was a really nice bus. Not saying yours isn't. Post a picture from inside the arch looking backeards at the bulkhead? If your man is rstimating without looking be assured your bill will rise. Best get it in writing exactly what the £700 covers. Buggers these garages. I once had an estimate for £1500 that turned into £3500 by the time I picked it up. Just saying.

£700 is about 2 days labour, which is about right to fit an arch and repair surrounding areas I reckon. Add about £400 to drop the engine and fit a clutch (all of the above is assuming it's as straightforward as it sounds without looking at the exact vehicle in question)

Update. Had the arch done and bloody fine job it is. Took it home with the new cleaned out pre-heat pipe and it ran worse than ever. Also there's a squealing noise from the engine when the clutch is pressed in (clutch release bearing) so he's gone back again. On further investigation the coil is very hot so may be breaking down and the condenser has been changed as well as the coil. Runs better (so i'm told) but now the clutch has to be replaced, not before time I suppose I've never had it changed in 8 years, it's raining anyway.

You'll get there in the end but I'd be a little cheesed off that he let shit get on the bearing but you're expected to pay for it's replacement.

He's back. New clutch and he didn't charge me for pulling the engine a second time. New blue coil, condenser, points and proper heat pipe fitted going into the tinware. Clear inlet pipe too and he's flyin' again
