Trying to sort out my throttle cable arrangements, which presently involve old pushbike bits for connections. I have Nutty Bits as shown, but my question is how does the pedal end connect.....presumably I am missing something !

Pedal end of cable has a dog leg, it just loosely fits through the hole and magically doesn't fall off.
How's it attached at the moment? If it's been bodged you might need a new cable.

It is bodge at the moment......dog leg at pedal end and adjustment via a push bike brake adjuster through a hole in the gearbox lever. The picture is of a pukka auto box cable.....it should pop on at gearbox end, with adjustments being made at the pedal. The cable has a solid thicker end and I'm buggered if I can see how the pedal linkage and cable can fasten together, never mind adjust !

The cable in the picture should be one piece.......just enlarged JK image a bit too much. The easy fix would be to fit pop on at gearbox end and push cable through pedal lever and fasten off with a electrical joint or something similar.....but there must be a proper ( non bodge ) way.....

Wonder if this could be the part I need, it's described as a heater cable / accelerator cable clamp.......and the accelerator cable end is very similar a heater cable for an automatic.
