I've used the M-plate decoder for the colour of my van as it left the factory. Color roof : L90D - Pastel White Color body : L20B - Brilliant Orange Remark : Westfalia Planned production date Monday, 25 September 1972 My van is late bay body westfalia with square bumpers but what I would like to know is if you think the whole body would have been painted orange up to the roof line like this or how its painted now What do you think?

I think westys were all single colour inside and out. I had a greyish blue one.

I don't know what's right, but prefer it the way it is now (same as mine).

Paint it orange up to the roof, I think that looks better 😀

Paint it orange up to the roof, I think that looks better 😀 I agree. Up to and including outside of the gutters in colour with a white roof or all one colour. Not orange though, yeuch. Mine was orange once but I painted it over with a better colour... any colour would be an improvement on orange.
