Not knackered but it's never steered properly despite many setting up atempts. I assume something is bent or a spring broken. A complete one came up for sale so I thought replace the lot. Now I'm wondering if it comes with the springs so the deal may be off. I've got a spare latebay one with springs, it's been welded but not much in my opinion, I bought it before I realised it wouldn't fit my bus. I'm sick of tripping over it in the garage postimg.org/gallery/2llor8en2/If it's any use you can have it for a charitable donation, obviously assuming there is a reasonable way to get it from the North Norfolk cost to Techenders Very kind offer Chad, assume has no arms/spindles? Maybe just the springs... Who knows about suspension? It always steers slightly to the left. Tracking and camber are correct. It's not lowered and never has been. When I loaded up with paving slabs and bricks it pulled harder to the left.

Thinking about it but I didn't want to be there on my own

Maybe if chad would part with his torsion leaves (somewhat defeating ridding him of the beam itself!) I should buy the other (unwelded) beam which is complete with arms and spindles. I'd be back to having it all covered then.

I've just been to the north Norfolk coast, which bit are we talking about precisely chad Zeds already bought one by the sounds of it so I may just see if Chad's one is better than mine. Just outside Cromer - so about 40 miles East of Heacham - we used to have a holiday flat at Hunstanton until we moved up here. You can have this beam for the same donation 'deal' if it'll help you, it may not have any springs though as I need to sort Zed out first.

If not how do you get the springs out of a beam?

Each set should be welded together at one end. To remove, take out the pinch bolt in the centre of each beam tube after loosening their lock nuts. Very greasy, try not to add dirt or they'll need hours of cleaning. No need to degrease, just wrap them in bin liners.

Hmm. I'm getting cold sweats thinking about changing the whole beam in a possibly wet and windy field. I'm thinking there's nothing really wrong with my actual beam and the idea started when I thought initially that I'd found a complete one ready fitted with arms ans spindles. Now we're talking unassembled parts I'd be better off leaving my beam on the bus and swapping any broken springs, then if none found, the arms and spindles. My money is on a broken spring.

They're still in the packaging I got them in as I managed to get hold of a good replacement beam with leaves so didn't need these. Even if these aren't a full set I presume you could mix and match with your existing ones, presuming they're not all knackered. Here's a pic: I haven't taken them out as trying to keep as clean as possible - the cardboard bits on the end are because I opened it when I received it - they haven't been out of the packaging

Leet me know what you want for them and then I'll try and find a way to get them. 👍
