On a more positive note I had a great time and really enjoyed meeting new and old faces, looking forward to next April and spending time with a genuinely great bunch of people. Peace and love

Had a great weekend with friends new and old. I'm shocked about the rubbish! I did check our bit and took my properly segregated stuff up to the bins. Didn't notice the mess tbh. Shame. Will bring my litter picker next time and do a bit more!

I don't know about other shows , but when we do Volksworld they issue bin liners as your entering the campsite. Perhaps I'll make a mental note to hand them out at TE NO EXCUSE !!!!!

Iโm guilty of not collecting a dog egg our pooch may have laid over near the synchro, I wasnโt aware sheโd managed to bypass the security fence but when I was informed I got up to go collect it but was then informed that a couple of bricks had been placed on it ๐ sorry ๐ณ

Had a great time and was made extreeeeeemly welcome. Thanks for the company and the laughs too. I felt quite privelleged when I realised I had the muddiest and trampled patch outside of my van and under the gazebo . I particularly liked meeting the little dogs, they was ace. Secondly the peeps were brilliant And at the risk of repeating myself yet again, how everyone looks so different to how you`ve imagined them while typing dafty things on the forums. I would have really liked to have stopped on for another day and stayed for just a bit more. Geord was a star for adopting me and telling me who everyone was and generally looking after me and making sure I was OK . After all of these years of messing about with the camper and stuff, I can`t believe I set up ass about face with regards to the wind. Speaking of the wind, I`m kind of hoping that the wind was mostly responsible for the rubbish issue, my little bit seemed to clean up very very quickly because I had a rubbish bin by the bus and a black bag for the cans and bottles and this was quite full and ended up at Eddies bins and recycle bit by the loos, I did wander around about the distance of the gazebos guy ropes to clear but I really didn`t notice a rubbish issue when I wandered down to say goodbye to the some of the others, I did spot two large lumps of wood over towards the hedge that I did think, I`ll have them for burning later but re thought as I didn`t want to look like a camp site looter So I`m hoping that the rubbish issue was brought over by the wind, possibly even that it may be our own rubbish re distributed by the wind because so much was stacked around the rather over full bins up by the loos, after all we`re mostly experienced campers and not disconnected with this sort of thing and rubbish type issues in general. Apologies to anyone that was kept awake by the dulcet tones of Andy Williams and Glenn Miller at silly O`clock in the morning due to the influence of alchohol ( Stella ) . Looking at the pictures is one thing, but the ariel shots give you a whole new perspective of the campsite as a whole, I was really impressed by the overview. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Absolutely delighted to meet everyone

I think the wind was an issue for sure, as the litter picker upper I'm fine the message has got across all I will say is there was never as much before, I found some beer bottles and bacon packets and mushrooms packets etc, let's just say it didn't spoil it and I was ok doing it as nobody was up and I was walking the pooch. All is good, back to work tomorrow and already want to go camping again.

Re the rubbish, it was more surprise that there was any at all, we're usually extremely well behaved and it's a job to spot any. Bar set high, where it should be. ๐

Bar set high, where it should be. ๐ Well I was going to blame the kids as they were eating sweets like they were out of fashion and not out of our van so thank you to whoever was feeding them if at all you were aware that they were seemingly returning from somewhere with pockets full I went to the fridge last night as the kids had deposited two bags of chocolate in the bottom drawer only to find a bag full of wrappers!
