As I said earlier, I've covered the van for winter, last year I got so much condensation, I was thinking would one of those greenhouse/shed heaters be safe to use, I would of thought if they are ok for a wooden shed then there is no reason why you can't put one in a van, ??

I'd put one in if it was electric, as askwilma says, but no way an open flame given the way these buses can produce petrol fumes.

Window open and a humidifier it is then, one of those large crystal type things I take it? One or the other unless you think you can dehumidify the whole world.

Just stick a 12v fan (from a PC)on a solar panel(panel on the outside)in it to keep the air moving.
Disclaimer
I have no idea if this would work.

I don`t think the window being open is such a great plan. The water absorbing crystals is brill as is the rice but you do have to keep an eye on them as they will reach saturation point sometimes in a matter of days sometimes in a couple of weeks and its all dependent on how much moisture is in the bus already as in damp tents, soggy boots etc and whatever else has been left in there. A lot of the moisture will reside in the foam of the seats etc . Once you have an idea of how often your bus needs it`s moisture checking, it should in theory have less moisture everytime you check it unless you leave the window open or the vents etc that will allow more moisture laden air to settle in your bus. Air change is wonderful if it`s summer and dry ish.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Might be right (yam)
