My last Bay mot was the old lad in the village, he drives round in his old 1970 moggy van, it's falling to bits, he's about 70 and blind, Sandybay took his there after I'd posted about him, I'm sure he does check stuff to see if it's falling of but he's well known for passing things, Old skool Yup, need to take it back for another MOT in the next few days. He's a nice guy, we spent more time chatting about everything else than he did actually doing the MOT.

Old skool for the win, my local village garage passed mine first time, I checked nothing beforehand though I knew several things weren't working - I was expecting a repair list but got a pass. I kept him talking and watched him not checking things.

And to be honest if he knows you know your stuff with the bus he'll not rip it to bits. For people who don't have much of a clue I'd go somewhere stricter to make sure you not gonna kill yourselves driving it.

One reason for chatting was to let him know I'd restored it from a wreck and spent a few years mechanicing other peoples T2's.

Mine passed with no advisories today. But it's a dry state us import so never will have problems in the next 10 years as long as i keep it garaged. Now to rip out the Subaru engine this weekend!!
