Staying at home to look after the dogs - although it is by the seaside - as the rest of the family are off to Bath to look at the youngest's latest Uni accommodation, which is costing a f****** fortune. I'd rather be at home as I find Bath too pretentious, expensive and full of Japanese tourists. Next time you is forced to go to bath, have a littler look at Castle Combe, the village is to die for, the race track ain`t bad and the golf course is nigh on impossible to walk but is pretty fantastic. If you head back towards Chippenham on the back road, you`ll go through a hamlet the size of a postage stamp and it`s called,,,,,,, wait for it Tiddly Wink. Don`t bother stopping as there`s nuffink there but the drive into and around the village is pretty spectacular and all fifteen minutes from the outskirts of Bath. Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, My Aussie mates hate Bath but love this stuff ^^^

Thanks - having to ship all his stuff down towards the end of next month so will go if we have time to have a look around there.
At least it's his last year there - if he does any more it'll be at a different Uni, probably York.

Too feckin cold for me unless there's a freak heatwave occurring. I don't mind wet but I hate being cold.

I may be tempted depending where and when, I've bit the bullet and my bay is going in for a new front panel etc in the next few weeks/month or so, and we all know how long body shops like to take on bay repairs. π

Great nights sleep in the van at zedβs marina, I did an old school off to bed at 9.30 and was probably asleep by 10, woke up at about 6, unheard of for me recently to get 8 hours. Just having my morning cuppa before breakfast on the boat with the sandybays. Hopefully the weather is ok for a boat trip later to find a pub.

Sounds like the good life - cruising canals to find a pub.
We did it for a week many years ago - it was a great holiday.
