What would make my day is solving my battery charging issue. I only changed your alternator, diagnosis was down to you 😄 How's the battery holding up? Regulator? I replaced the battery, drove 100 miles in the dark plus wipers for about 1/3 of time and the battery went from 12.7v to 12.35v. So despite measuring the volts at 14.2 it's maybe not charging at all. So I wondered if all those powder coated parts were blocking the alternator earth path. 0.4ohms but that might change with current, so, when my battery is fully charged again I'll get an earth strap, fit between alternator and a good earth and see what happens.

you jammy bugger Dunc! We're still moving all of the equipment into the new Lab in Sheffield/Rotherham, nearly done installing the test rigs, gotta pressurise the hydraulic system next job fingers crossed to goes to 3200 psi!
