Seeing that there's gurus like Zed on this forum is it worthwhile setting up some sort of 'library' that new people can go and look for advice?
I'm not suggesting doing a ton of work, just making available the info that's already lying around electronically.
I've got a few bits like web links to some good parts reference sites but they're basically early bay.

There's a ton of stuff on the earlybay forum and I'm not suggesting that we even begin to compete/replicate that - it works very well and the people are very helpful.
Just some stuff that people who are only one here who maybe don't want to go on TLB can look at.
Maybe tied in with the technical advice thread?

Well I'm not going to be writing technical articles.
If anyone else wants to, feel free.
I'm happy to join in if there are ever any tech threads and I do agree there is nothing much on this site to make you think it's a good place to ask.

Didn't expect you to I thought about something along the lines of links to ones already on the web like ratwell which can be very useful but not obvious if you're a novice

I'll give it a bit of thought as to the structure as we don't want to have to then delete it and have Oscar complaining about his missing Higgs Boson

Zed - can you please set up these 2 links in a sticky? If I can i'll get rid of this and all the other guff ratwell.com/www.vw-resource.com/I want to see if I can edit them once you've done it - I think that I should be able but don't want to do a big list and then find out not. If I can it'll help in keeping it structured Cheers

Zed can make it a sticky in that section. A brief description after each link explaining what its useful for would help as well.

Thanks for that.
I'll start pulling stuff together and put it in sections, along with a brief description as you suggest

Another way would be to have sections for individual areas of the van within the mech section. Like bodywork, brakes, steering etc. Each sub section could have links stickied at the top that are relevant to that section. Alot of work for zed though maybe.

^^^ignore that. It would be way to structured and take too much effort to keep it tidy. I think blunderbus should stay a bit messy. it adds character.

I agree - also sometimes things cross over areas.
Who knows where it might end if it's too organised - having Mods and people being banned for posting in the wrong sub-section?
